Two weeks and one day to go

Well, not long now. I still have heaps to organise: a will, register with IRD as a nonresidant, international drivers licence, CV - copy certificates and send over to Dan, bank - sort out accounts, special vote for the election, a new fluffy halo cos I broke mine :o( , pack up my office and sort everything out for storage down at work, sort out what I want to take with me and do a trial pack, pack garb away :o( , drop kids books and toys off at the City Mission and other stuff to the dump, sort out clothing to pop in the clothing bin, say goodbye to everyone, visit all the places I want to see before I leave (Arts Centre, Akaroa, Sumner etcetc).... and the list just goes on and on and on! No wonder I can't get rid of this bloody sinus infection!

Still haven't sold my bike or clarinet :o(

Actually starting to get a little excited now. Looking forward to seeing Phillipe and having a holiday. I haven't had a long break since finishing college 12/04 (unless you count the week off for Canterbury Faire in February). I'm sooo looking forward to just being able to wander around in the sun and relax (well, hopefully it'll be sunny in LA). Phillipe has invited me to a party at Gavin's house on the Saturday night - yay, I get to meet lots of SCA folk. Should be a laugh - must try not to get too drunk and embarrass myself by snorting or trying dismally to bellydance.

Have been chatting with Dan in London. He's kindly looking over my CV and is going to help me give it a bit of a tweak so it's suitable for UK employers. I'm still using the format I was given at High School which I suspect is slightly outdated. Felt slightly embarrassed sending it to him with him being a big University type and me not having done a huge amount of particularly intellectual stuff (I mean, Floristy! How flakey is that!!). I wish they had made our Herbal Medicine course into a Degree course rather than Diploma. The title of Diploma really does not do justice to the amount of hard work we all put in.

I think I've put some more weight back on :o( Could be something to do with the Indian I've been having a few times a week for lunch. All that creamy sauce...... So much for getting down to my goal weight of 65kg. I think I've jumped back up to 74-5. Oh well, spilt milk and all that.

Looks like I'll have enough money. I currently have $US600 for LA which should be more than enough considering I'm not paying for accommodation and Phillippe has been kind enough to get me into Disneyland for free. I have $4000 (1500 pounds) in my UK bank account and another $3800 here. I still have one pay to go which should be around $600ish and then holiday pay which will hopefully be around $900 (it's at $1100 at the moment but I'm not sure how much tax I'll have to pay, plus I'll have a student loan repayment taken out of it too). Yay - I'm quite rich! If only I could sell my bike and clarinet, that would bring in another $1000.

Right - better get out of bed and do something. So much to do so little motivation......
